WWE at All-State Arena (9/1/02)

All-State Arena
Chicago, IL
September 1, 2002

The arena formerly known as the Rosemont Horizon was the location for this house show brought to you by the stars of Raw. Raw was dealt a huge blow losing Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker to Smackdown but the good news was both of them were completing their house show dates. Let's see how things go with this one.

Match 1

Steven Richards vs Tommy Dreamer

Same match as yesterday with the same result, Dreamer wins it with the DDT.

Winner: Dreamer by pinfall

Match 2

Shelton Benjamin and Crash Holly vs Justin Credible and Shawn Stasiak

Benjamin was on his trial run as Stasiak was wrestling out his contract. Credible caught Benjamin with the superkick to win the match.

Winners: Credible and Stasiak by pinfall

Match 3

Raven vs D-Lo Brown

Get used to this match folks, they'll be running with it for months. D-Lo wins it with Sky High.

Winner: D-Lo Brown by pinfall

Match 4

William Regal and Christopher Nowinski vs Bradshaw and Spike Dudley

Regal and Nowinski teamed together all week against different opponents and now they get the makeshift team of Bradshaw and Spike. Bradshaw pinned Regal after the clothesline from hell

Winners: Bradshaw and Spike by pinfall

Match 5

The Undertaker (with Ric Flair) vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship

Why Ric Flair was in Undertaker's corner must have been explained at the show itself, but its been lost to time. It still the same result, Taker got caught with the chair to earn the DQ.

Winner: Lesnar by DQ (still WWE Champion)

Match 6

Trish Stratus and Jacqueline vs Victoria and Molly Holly

Jerry Lawler was the guest referee for this as Trish and Jackie win.

Winners: Trish and Jackie

Match 7

Bubba Ray Dudley vs Chris Jericho

Same match as all week with the same result, Jericho wins with the Walls of Jericho.

Winner: Jericho by submission

Match 8

Booker T and Goldust vs Christian and Lance Storm for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match

Going old school with this one as we got a two out of three falls match. Storm and Christian win to retain.

Winners: Storm and Christian (still Tag Team Champions)

Match 9

Big Show vs Rob Van Dam for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Once again they're booking Big Show as a goof even though he's in the main event here. Van Dam hit the Van Daminator and the five star frog splash to retain.

Winner: Rob Van Dam by pinfall (Still IC Champ)

This concludes this week's house show schedule and the final appearances of Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker on Raw for a very long time. Lesnar wouldn't be back for almost 10 full years. The rest of the card was once again mostly ECW alumni and that's bad news moving forward since Vince jobbed the majority of them out. On the same night, Smackdown had their own house show in Dallas. I'll see you there.
